Wow! I remember watching “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.” I didn’t know Dwayne Hickman had passed away until I saw this comic.

I knew he passed earlier this month. It was unfortunate he was overshadowed by the death of Bob Saget. Dwayne was an icon in his day, and I felt the loss in his passing. RIP.

Not a word on most channels about Mr. Hickman. Most were praising Bob Saget. I guess death of a star is a generational thing.

Thank you JJ. This brought back a flood of wonderful memories from a far sweeter time.A gentle time where all felt good, safe and dependable. These guys were hero’s to us as kids. This with Zorro, , McCales Navy, F Troop, Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Lassie, Ozzie and Harriet. And every Sunday night we would finish dinner and head to the TV to watch Walt Disney then Bonanza. Great childhood memories!

DC had a licensed comic for Dobie Gillis. Great artwork by Bob Oksner.

Then licensed comics got too expensive so they slightly changed the artwork and called it Windy & Willy.

Also the many other TV shows and movies he was in from the mid 1940s to the 2000s.

There has been a rash of a lot of actors/singers dying in the past several days to weeks. I think that the other day there were 3 or 4 of them at the same time – including Meat Loaf.
