Lost in the bloody mail. I received two Christmas cards this month. At least it’s snowy outside.

Probably in one of those cargo holds off the coast of California.

Bean’s End screwed up, and sent them to a Ed Crankshaft in Ohio.

If Charley is waiting for the seeds, I can understand. But doesn’t he realize that all of the catalogs are online now?

Yes! We get all the seed catalogues. Wife loves to garden. In the cellar we have last years crop of potatoes, squash, onions and garlic. Pickled carrots, green beans, etc. Also a small fortune of home-grown saffron.

Sadly lost all the corn because of super high temperatures at the critical pollen time last summer.

We just came out of an ice storm. Three days with no mail. With ice and snow, things stop in Texas.

I started receiving them last November.

i ordered lights at a discount thru my utility for 2 weeks now every 2 days at is at a different post office but never close to being delivered .

I’ve already received several seed catalogs, a fruit tree catalog and an iris catalog. We are about 6-7 weeks out from putting in the cold/frost tolerant seeds.

I have not received mine yet? Either I get the same ones Charlie does, or my wife has decided my gardening days are over?

We are having this exact weather here this morning.

I think I will start my seeds this afternoon :-))

Poor Charley, his gardening life is so filled with disappointment. But on the other hand, trudging a fair distance through deep snow is a wonderful aerobic exercise. (The voice of experience on that one.) Or, as Nietzsche said, “What doesn’t kill me, makes me stronger.” So keep on trucking, Charley. Keep on trudging.

MY ONLINE ORDER FOR STAMPS HASN’T EVEN BEEN PROCESSED YET; I PLACED IT ON 18 JANUARY . . . and used to receive them within a week . . . . . . so I went to Going Postal to buy stamps – Michael (who owns the franchise) says HE has problems getting stamps, too, and HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SELLING THEM!! I wouldn’t expect the catalogs to arrive before summer.PS. TODAY’S IS THE USPS BOARD’S MEETING DAY- I’M HOPING THEY PLAN ON GETTING RID OF DEJOY!!

My friend owns a major greenhouse. She’s been doing that since before Christmas. Just awaiting a new dirt machine

Crankshaft went all through the neighborhood and took them from everybody’s mailbox.

If one of our local employees moonlights at yours, you’re never going to see them. I filed my second complaint aboutthe woman last week. I will no longer take verbal snottiness from employees.Last year I ordered three plants from a seed/nursery catalog. They shipped in the fall because that was the planting season for them. One is doing ok. The other two? RIP. And, they weren’t cheap.

We ordered all of our seed from Seedsavers in late December, all received by late January and all in stock! Guess the shortages start later in the ordering season? Charley waited too long.

I would think that the rabbits would be raiding the post office to make sure he got them on time.

reminds me of my late father…a gardener who loved looking at seed catalogs during the long Wisconsin winter….hoping and dreaming, no doubt
