He should have led with, “I don’t like the color.”

It’s an awful lot of work for nothing.

It’s also probably as ugly as sin. And if Grandma bought it, it probably itches.

Lucy why do you care?

It happened to me once when I bought some jeans and I forgot to take them to be adjusted for like a year.

And why are you going thru Linus’s dresser Lucy.

I’ve never heard anybody say “a scissors.” I wonder at what point that just changed to “scissors.”

Linus will never know how nice that new shirt was as long as he has his nose in front of that darn TV.

To be fair to Linus, isn’t it the responsibility of the gift giver to cut the price tag off? How tacky you are to leave the price tag on a Christmas present! Did you expect it to be returned to the store?

There are a lot of gifts that were thoughtfully bought for me that I no longer have.

He could’ve just said, “I don’t want to.” Instead he left himself open to all kinds of big sister meddling and pestering.

It’s tough to return an unused piece of clothing to a department store since department store chains have been taken over by online shopping or something like that. Macy’s and Dillard’s and JC Penney and a handful of Sears are still around, along with Target and Walmart and Meijer and Fred Meyer and only 4 remaining Kmart stores.

Why did that shirt have so many pins?

Marvelous commentary on the present day, post pandemic societies of Earth: “You can always find an excuse to not do something if you really try”.

Linus has some great excuses.

Peaceful laziness… until someone like Lucy comes to ruin it.

I have to side with Miss Van Pelt on this one. Really, Linus?

If it is truly a gift the giftee can do whatever they want with it, wear it, not wear it, give it away, burn it, …

Roadblocks…

He hasn’t worn it because it isn’t a red striped t-shirt, that’s why!

If Lucy and Schroeder were to get married and if Schroeder forgot their wedding anniversary…

It might have fit at Christmas, but it doesn’t fit anymore

Stop making bull-shirt excuses, Linus.

He is male, alright.

Linus never wins, it’s just a matter of how he loses this time ;)

Its not only not your size, the neck is too tight when you try to put on a tie

I’m with Linus. Shirts that come with pins in them are always uncomfortable, ill-fitting garbage that we wear only becauze we’ve been convinced it makes us look more “professional.”

Linus is me on a Sunday…

Wow, Linus sure is determined not to wear that thing.

It’s a dress shirt, he probably hasn’t had occasion to even wear it. Besides you all wear the same clothes day after day.

I am with Linus about how annoying doing that with a new shirt just to wear it can be. You’re really taking a gamble that the shirt will be the wrong size and not even work for you, and to do all of that work to find that out can be frustrating.

‘A’ scissors?

We never got away with not trying on new clothes at Christmas.
