I’m up to page 596 of W&P, only 550 to go. Napoleon has just invaded the Russian Empire, which at this time means Poland and Lithuania.

I took a speed-reading course and read War and Peace in twenty minutes. It involves Russia.

Had a wiseguy friend who, when asked what he was reading, said War and Peace. When one asked how he liked it, he replied, It’s not bad, but ask me again in about 10 years. I might be finished by then.

I like a comic that gets me to look up something I don’t know about and learn. Pretty tricky, Caufield.

Someone once opined that Tolstoy made War and Peace so long in order to make the reader as miserable as the characters.

Tolstoy is a quick read if you shorten the names to just the initials.

Here is an example of a really smart kid who is bored to death in a regular classroom, he needs to go to a school that teaches smart kids

So Marry Roach is intellectual humor (or could prompt a high IQ joke)? Of course War And Peace as an acronym lately is even lower.
