My Arizona relatives can relate one way or another when Arizona reaches a certain low temperature that seems normal to non-Arizona folk (like me in Washington).

Sounds like my wife. I think she has one red blood corpuscle, and it’s running around like crazy trying to keep her from freezing to death.

My ex and I was vacationing in Palm Springs, she was out by the pool and said she was cold, it was 103 degrees out there in the sun.

68 degrees? Yikes. That too hot. Anything above 30 degrees can be unbearable.

But this plugger does not live in South Florida ! Live in Southwest Pennsylvania ;-)

also, you’re a plugger if you are from New England, retire to South Carolina, and wear shorts when it’s 40 degrees out…!!!

When I was living in the West Indies there was a cold snap, got down to 59F and people were being treated for hypothermia

I’ve been living in Central Florida for over 25 years. I moved from Central Pennsylvania and now any cold front that sweeps into the state lowering the temperature feels like it’s going to snow. My pastor says that any temperature below 65 degrees F is tribulation.

Rain this week with temps between 4º and 10º C. The doggos are loving it. The cats not so much.

Heck, I did that yesterday here on the California Central Coast (Oxnard). Young folks were running in tee shirts and shorts and I had on my REI down vest. It was about 60F.

My girls went with their mother to California once to visit their cousins. Teh day they went to the beach the temperature was in the sixties but the were still wearing shorts, T-shirts and romping in the ocean. Othe rbeach goers were bundled in mid-weight coats. One lady asked where they were from and their mother replied South Dakota. The lady relied, “Well that explains it.” The temperature back home was in the single digits.

When my sister retired to Florida it took about 2 years for her to acquire southern blood.

I have lived in the No. Virginia/Maryland area for 55 years (first 10 yrs were all over the place as I was an Army brat). I usually don’t put on a coat or jacket until it gets down to the mid-upper 30s (depends on how windy and/or wet it is). I will take a jacket/coat with me, but not wear it. I LOVE the cold. I blame it on my Scandinavian ancestors. :o)

I visited my sister in Arizona at Christmas from NY. It was 77 degrees, and many of the locals had jackets on!

And don’t forget us proud pansy a**es here in Phoenix!!

If it get down to 60F here in San Diego the winter uniform comes out: Down jacket, shorts, flip-flops.

I have a friend in San Francisco who thinks it’s winter when its 60F out. I start wearing my sandals when it gets that warm.

I thought it was just Floridians period. Visited in March once and temp was around 70º. Everybody but me was wearing a jacket.

no chit sherlock. i grew up on the east coast and when it got down to 60 or 65 we put on coats. Brrrrrrrrrr

If it is 68 degrees in Florida – it is still winter – what else would you wear in winter? They are predicting around freezing temps this week-end – gotta love March. Our highs and lows been in the mid-80s/low 60s for the past 2 weeks.

Or you moved from North Dakota to Arkansas and it is 30 degrees and people are all wearing their parkas while you are in your t-shirt.

LOL, I see someone from Ohio posted that. Pluggers like me who grew up north of the 45th parallel and live further south now, go out to check the mail on a snowy day wearing shorts.

OK…SOUTH CAROLINA, MYRTLE BEACH HERE…70 DEGREES YESTERDAY AT 5AM…32 DEGREES THIS MORNING AT 5AM…WHERE’S MY SHORTS??? RIGHT WHERE I LEFT THEM YESTERDAY!!!

Our house (NYC area) is kept at 68F and we are freezing. First of all it is 68F at the location of the thermostat – anywhere else in the house it is a different temperature. Second, it is hot air heat so it is only warm when the hot air is blowing into the room – rest of the time the hot air is leaving so it feels cold, though thermostat says it is 67 or 68F.

This has been true since we moved into the house 40+years ago when we were much younger. My hands are ice to the touch right now – even with the exercise of typing.
