I just discovered a new Reddit forum called buttcoin for people who hate bitcoin.

It’s not enough to get “rich” by founding an internet company and watching the IPO explode. You have to keep the stock price up long enough for you to sell it.

Replace “dot-com” with “bitcoin” and it still makes sense.

I worked for one of those dot com bubbles in 2000. Got fired for doing what the boss told me to do (not what the boss wanted) right before Christmas, my last paycheck bounced, then he cut my severance pay in half. I found out next year he wasn’t able to make payroll.

Easy come, easy go.

Hard to believe it’s been a generation since the last tech bubble busted.

If you really had in excess of a billion dollars in the bank, you could have stuffed it into your mattress or something and you’d still be able to live the rest of your life without ever seeing a bill you couldn’t pay. If you have that much and lost it all, you’ll get no symptoms atty from me!

Those .com companies came and went like a flash in the pan…

Most of those big guys did start small and know what it’s like…..
