Can you really eat kumquat skins? I always assumed they were just a small citrus.

I’ve had one. Didn’t like it.

It sounds like Earl has been reading Calvin and Hobbes. That’s exactly the kind of mind-trip his dad would use.

There’s a local organic farm that has a lime kumquat growing in their hoop house. I would like to try one, but I’ll be damned if I’ll pay them a whole $1 for one (yep, fewer than two) kumquat.

I think my favorite animal is the honeydew melon.

We had a kumquat tree. I would eat so much my teeth got etched a bit. Sadly we live to far north now to grow citrus.

For the longest time my mother thought kumquat was one of my dad’s dirty words.

My father loved kumquats. Insisted that we have them on the table every year at Thanksgiving! Almost left us the year they were replaced by pickled watermelon rinds!

A long time ago, I had friends who had a kumquat tree. They were tasty little critters.

When I ate some kumquats, they were too tart for my taste.

I love kumquats! But I haven’t seen any in the grocery stores in years and I no longer live near the friend with a kumquat tree.

The tree in my front yard still has quite a few. Good too.

Mmm, kumquats! I can’t get them as much anymore, but I used to always carry a few in my coat pocket when traveling at Christmas. Bring good luck. Yeah, I’m weird…

Kumquats are in the vegetable department, although it’s really a fruit.

I just bought kumquats simply because I saw them at the grocery store. Thought I’d try ’em. Really sweet and yet very, very tart/sour. An odd experience indeed.
