Arlo, It is HER choice!

Janis has long practiced sun worshiping, a.k.a. “Laying Out”. Not really sure just how much has changed environmentally for that practice in the past 60+ years, but I do know that my generation seems to be reaping the “Rewards” that Arlo mentions much more than the past couple who actively worked out in the sun and weather. Could just be that we have out lived many who would have had the same issues at our ages had they made it this far. Or that those that I know who made it into their eighties and beyond just managed to avoid those problems while others of those generations did not.

It may have an impression of something else.

I can’t imagine putting cloths ON a beautiful woman.

At the risk of repeating myself, how did humankind manage to survive before humans wore clothing?

Cover up because who needs natural Vitamin D any how.

When sunscreen got invented, vitamin D levels plummeted. I go out regularly in the sun and get a little red. It’s not the end of the world, and sunlight is important for you.

Janis… Arlo is right.

He is constantly wanting her to wear less and be able to show her off. She’s finally willing to do so and he wants to cover her up. His proper approach would have been to erect a portable canopy that he could have moved for her.

I’ve had to start covering up for yard work. I just noticed sun spots on my forehead near my hairline and on the bridge of my nose! Husband had them show up a few years ago and stays as covered as possible.My husband said, “Now that we are near 40, pale and pasty and skin protection is the new sexy.” !!

I would have thought Arlo would be right there, ready to rub the sunscreen all over her body. Arlo is slipping today.

Arlo should have taken an hour or two to slather the sun screen on Janis, everywhere the sun might shine. Then you don’t worry about the buttons coming out right.

I little sunblock, Arlo, and you can offer to apply it.

Janis’ fixation with tanning and Arlo’s fears and delights have been a rich source for gags over the years. And Jimmy J is a master at milking (no pun) these foibles for humor.

After having my third skin cancer removed I can say that Arlo is giving her good advice.

When wife goes out to garden she wears a huge hat, long sleeve shirt along with long pants, and 2 face masks because of her allergies-we bought a whole house air cleaner when we moved in for exactly that reason, wife’s allergies

There are UV blocking sunscreens. He is feeling scared that other men will look at her in a pleasing way. Now the back yard is different. Shuck all that and wear a bikini. You too Arlo bikini bottoms for her to look at you. Healthy for me is white not burned.

When you’re married, you don’t need to worry about “fish belly.” He loves your belly no matter what it looks like, ’cause he loves you all over no matter what.

I had to put on hat, sunscreed, and bug band (plastic band that keeps bugs away as they love to bite me – can get bitten 8 times between door of house and car – 8 ft away) to go out and move large items being thrown out from back of house to curb last week. I burn very easily.

Concern over sun exposure is not new – although for other reasons. As an 18th century reenactor and studying on the period – a lady especially, but also a gentleman would not want to be browned by the sun – it would imply that they had been working in the fields, which someone of their class would not do – field hands would do same. Clothing would cover most of one’s skin – especially women.
