If only….

We stopped paying attention quite a while ago

The teleprompter crapped out.

Sometimes that’s a blessing in disguise.

A former GF was going on and on, so I said “That’s the third time you’ve said ‘Long story short’”. Did I mention former GF?

GREAT!

When somebody says “To make a long story short”, it is already too late.

My BFF and I do this all the time. Later, one of us will remember, and say, "Five or six conversations back . . . " We’ve known each other longer than I’ve known Hubby, so we understand each other.

I had a trainer once who felt compelled to say the same thing at least three times. I would acknowledge after the first time, and she got upset that I would do so before she finished speaking. My first thought was, “Well finish speaking sooner then.”

My brother will launch into a story that make the Iliad and the Odyssey seem like tweets. He may start with his birth and work up to the actual subject of the story.

With my wife, I never get a word in edgewise so forgetting what I wanted to say happens a lot. Just recently I said to her, “I forgot to tell you. So-and-so gave us a gift certificate for Blockbuster Video.”

My BFF and I do this all the time.

I walk into rooms then have to try and remember why I came in here. Do it more times than I care to admit too.
