Well, Earl. Went and stuck your foot in your mouth again. Didn’t you.

My mom liked to paint in oils. One day my dad decided to “improve” her work with a little addition. Only he’s color blind and used a clashing color that stood out ion glaring contrast. That didn’t go over well.

She has a nasty temperament

One of these days you’ll learn to keep your mouth shut Earl!

Looks like she Bob Ross-ed him with a “happy little accident”

There are those who might term it war paint.

Truth hurts.

Opal just showed Earl what the business end of the paint brush can really do.

You’re born, you die, and in between you need antacid.

Everyone is a critic, Opal!

Usually when people get together, life gets even messier.

Looks like he got abstracted.

A LOT of antacid.

You almost sounded wise there, Earl…but then you had to go and be an art critic!

I truly love this strip, it speaks to me on far too many levels.

Oh, I know this one. Pearl is Moe and Earl is Curly. So, the kid is Larry?

Non-painters find it easy to analogize until the pigment starts flying.

Some never learn to keep their mouths shut when the other person is carrying a weapon….LOL

Opal was in a colorful mood after she took care of business…..

Looks like there will be no master piece for Earl tonight.

Comment from Vietnam(I was 18, we thought we would live forever) you live and then you die.

In college, I had an art major roommate. She would never let me see her art and, at the time, I couldn’t understand why. As I’ve gotten older and somewhat wiser, I came to realize that her art was probably a reflection of who she was. Therefore, in her mind, if I didn’t like her art, it means I didn’t like her. I wish I could find her and tell her that I now understand.

Earl doesn’t know when to curb his tongue.

For Opal, knowing who needs a touch-up is winning half the battle.

Have we seen her wearing plaid before?

And not unexpected.

Earl is now the portrait of a big mess.

Those are “happy accidents”. Earl made a big annoying mistake!
