When was it discontinued?

No loss that’s for sure. Tried it once tasted terrible.

Not sure I’ve tried it myself.

Nastiest cola I’ve ever tasted.

My beer is Rheingold, the dry beer.

Think of Rheingold whenever you buy beer.

It’s not bitter, not sweet; it’s the dry flavored treat.

Won’t you try extra dry Rheingold beer?

That would be my mom. She was probably one of the last ten in California to keep drinking it.

No Problem don’t drink Soda Pop ;-)

What about “Faygo” and “Fanta”?

I used to drink that on occasion – the original stuff back in the 70s was very NASTY tasting, but the stuff from 10 years ago was like any other diet soda. My nieces liked to drink it just because it was something different.

I think it lost out to sparkling seltzers, which have even less flavor.

I get shivers just seeing the can, and not in a good way.

Does anyone really miss Tab?

You might be a Plugger if you miss drinking Grape or Orange Nehi.

That is me for sure! It was the first diet cola Coca-Cola had. I was working in a restaurant in ’70s and was a Pepsi person but started a diet with my sister. I drank it, Diet-Rite, Diet Pepsi, etc until Coke discontinued it or sold it off and it became harder to find. I NEVER liked Diet Coke and thought Coke Zero tasted like the original Tab until they changed it. These days I drink very little soda and it is Diet Pepsi or more often Diet 7-Up. I do like Diet Dr. Pepper, but that still seems too sweet for me.

Coke started the Tab brand because they did not want to put the Coke brand name-Diet Coke- on an inferior product.

Guess I’m not a plugger…

Tab was NEVER worth missing. Yuck.

Every day. I was so happy when I could get it at my local market. Please bring it back!!!

Never did like the stuff.

When I was a skinny kid in the mid-60s, I used to get Tab from the Coke machine because it came in the biggest bottles – 10 oz. as opposed to Coke’s 6 oz. Back then it was sweetened with cyclamate & tasted OK. Then the FDA banned cyclamate & switched to saccharin. YUCK!!! I can’t stand any of the other artificial sweeteners except Splenda – aspartame is extra-terrible because it tastes twice as sweet as it should & I can taste it for at least a half hour afterwards – so that was the end of diet sodas for me!

Fast forward 20 years, & a friend of mine used to go into McDonald’s for lunch & order “2 Big Macs, large fries, & a large Tab – I’m on a diet!” 8-D

This plugger should be a woman!

Not a diet drink, but does anybody remember Pomac? Apple soda drink.

With all due respect, no one should miss Tab.

I miss Canfields Diet Chocolate Fudge soda.

…but I don’t miss the after-taste…

That is all one of my aunts would drink in the late 60’s – mid 70’s

no matter how awful something tastes, there’s always someone who loves to drink it. just think of dr pepper…

And remember. TAB spelled backwards is BAT!

A very vile tasting diet drink, made by Coca-Cola.

It was not great, but, I can’t knock it. Though I was always extremely active, I had to drop a few pounds to get into the Service… TAB actually helped me achieve that. Never had another, but, for those few months, I was grateful to it.

But all have left out – Fizzies! A tablet that one dropped in water and it fizzed into a soda!“Drop a Fizzies in a glass, watch the magic come to pass.”

The few times my family went traveling mom would bring Fizzies for us to drink at night in our room so they didn’t have to deal with bringing bottles of soda or finding them on sale to buy.

Never had soda at home unless it was on sale – and back then it was not on sale as often is it now. Still will not buy diet coke unless it US$1 for a 2 liter bottle or less.

Tab? Wow this strip IS old !

Tab was so gross.
