Wow, that’s exactly my reaction when my wife asked if we could go see Twilight. Mind you, we both got to see all the movies… thanks to Rifftrax.

And after a few minutes, he won’t want to leave the tub.

Y’know, leaving Calvin unattended in the tub, he could slip and drown!!

Or is that what Mom and Dad want??

In one episode Calvin said: “I wish I was dead!… No, I don’t, not really…. I wish everyone ELSE was dead!”

I don’t ever remember not wanting to take a bath.

Well, if Calvin’s any example . . .

See, these are the ’olden times", before “time outs” and “persuasion” and neighbors with CPS on speed dial.

Maybe he wouldn’t throw such a tantrum if DAD would do it…LOL

A friend of mine used to say that instead of nurturing the child within, most people should be looking for the adult within.

Whenever my inner child begins to wake up, I run for a book, a lamp, and a chair. Saves a lot of trouble.

I am totally in touch with my inner child. Its when other people meet him that there’s trouble.

Guess this was of the time Dad’s never helped.

Over the years I have seen a lot of the psychology fads come and go. My wife, although a psychotherapist herself, never got over the one that “allowed” her to never have an unspoken resentment. If it had helped her to get past those resentments, I would have been all for it. In practice, it is a way of “airing” your problems rather than taking responsibility yourself.

Too many people are in touch with their inner teenager.

One of my younger brothers hated the bath, once in the tub, he’d play in the water till it was room temperature. When you went to retrieve him, he’d protest the leaving.

You just need your “inner babysitter” keeping an eye on your “inner child.”

I must have been a weird kid because I enjoyed bath time as a kid.

Fortunately, most people’s “inner child” isn’t 100% Calvin-like.

I belonged to a New Age Church and thought, “I could be a new age”. But I chose the wrong age and my Inner Child had to be potty trained.

The child without is bad enough.

Don’t rant mom, you have a bright son who can make the world chuckle with his antics

People want to rediscover the child within not so they can deal with this behavior but so they can perform this behavior.
