Okayā¦ donāt people usually know when theyāre thirsty and are going to the fridge to grab a drink as opposed to when theyāre thinking of what kinda lunch meal they can put together?
If she was just thirsty, I donāt think she needed to take a pic of the fridge.
Or Luann couldāve put a sticky note on that last can (and forget to write her name thereon where Frank will still take it since heād be puzzled whose can it was).
Frank is from the generation where they learned how to score some coke. Evans, on the other hand, has still not learned how to profit from product placement.
Refrigerators used to be called āice boxesā because a chunk of ice literally kept the food cold. Opening the would let the cold air out causing the ice to melt faster, So back then there a literal reason to not keep the door open long. With electric refrigeration that not long applies. People who worry about leaving the refrigerator door open must have been born in the 1920s.
Luann, if you were so thirsty why not just drink the coke? oh, maybe it wasnāt cold enough for her. so, she left it in the fridge to remind her itās there. Well sheās in for disappointment when she goes to have the coke and finds itās gone.
In the end, was it all Frankās elaborate plan to have time to get the best food before Luann? Probably not, but thatās what happens and Bernice laughs. Bernice loves being with the Degroots, thereās never a dull moment.
Does Coke give Greg funding for product placement? Whatās next Folgerās by the coffee maker or LuAnn using a Dyson vacuum??? Or the family getting a Hyundai SUV!!!
My brother, you leave the fridge door open for more than a nanosecond and he goes ballistic. Same with the front door. When he visits me, it is fun. I leave the front door open a lot and same with the fridge.
A couple of Cokes every day. Diabetes never looked so good! And we wonder why heart disease is #1 killer in the USA. Mmm-mm! Oh sorry, didnāt mean to harsh your mellow. Drink up, Frank, Bernice and Luann! Insulin pumps are cool!
Isnāt it kind of a standard joke about teenagers (specially teen boys,) standing in front of open refrigerators. contemplating what they want, and, the father posting a picture of the contents, to keep from wasting the electricity needed to keep the āfridge cool, the light on?Of course, now there are āsmartā refrigerators that have a display of whatās inside, and, complies a list of whatās needed.
Interesting to note that the āCokeā can design has become so famous that we automatically recognize it in the last panel. We are good consumer drones.
I found this article from 3 years ago. Keeping the fridge door open while you decide what you want to eat may not seem like a big deal, but that open door accounts for 7% of the applianceās total energy use, according to Home Energy Magazine.

I was thinking it would be nice to have a beverage fridge with a glass door. Now, where to put it? Duh, right next to the recliner!

Thank god for the advancements in technology. In the past Luann would have to wait for the film to come back from the developer.

Coke is not to be consumed in its pure state. It must be cut with whiskey or rum to be palatable for an adult.
