Hobbes acted like Calvin was blowing his nose in it.

That’s what I want to be, a tiger tummy nuzzler…..

Is Calvin a masochist or something here?

Wasn’t there another strip that basically had the same buildup with a different punchline?

It had Calvin saying “Their tummies shouldn’t be so soft and fuzzy if you’re not allowed to do that”.

Yeah. Kind of like eating really spicy-hot food. Delicious… for awhile!

Might be your last pleasure too.

next time try that on a golden retriever, Calvin and you might survive.

I should try that! I’ll put it at the end of my bucket list.

Did that once on my Wife’s tummy , Got just about the same result ! LOL

This is one of those times where Hobbes wonders if he’d be better off in an animal park or back in the jungles of India.

I always ‘zerbert’ my house-tigers tummy.

Decades ago I “spooned” with a big beautiful tiger that someone had as a pet in their triple wide mobile home. Luckily for me, I was completely ignored. Sure wish I had a picture!

A furry belly blow….I dunno about that one….

Even after Calvin recovers, he’ll be spitting cat hair for a week!

As was explained in an episode of the Bill Cosby Show (before his fall from grace, of course) the proper term for “nuzzling” is “zrbting.”

With domestic cats, even trying to tickle the belly of an unfamiliar cat can leave you counting your fingers. :)

I missed Hobbes the last few days- – he was sleeping! Love his expression on being startled awake! That was worth the wait.

LOL at the third panel! I also like how Calvin is smiling after being mauled in the last panel.

The key to nuzzling cat bellies is to be gentle and attentive.

Calvin likes fur in his mouth? Try doing Suzie’s. You’ll like it better and the consequences will be much the same.
