Mysta has wanted to go to Moon Valley forever and she has finally done it in New Moon Valley now, but she won’t leave Honeymoon. The fake love of Ro-Zan could never possibly compete with the real love she has for Honeymoon. Now, both Thorin and Liska have declared Mysta to be part of their family. Family connections was the overriding theme throughout this story. Now, Honeymoon is going back to be reunited with her dad.
First responders feature: Responding to highway crashes is one of the most dangerous things that police and firefighters do.
From the Pensacola News Journal: “People have got to stop and take a second and realize there’s a reason we’re blocking the road,” Gradia said. “There’s a reason we’re telling you to slow down. And people need to try to remember that we’re out there and maybe we’re slowing them down a few minutes, but we have families, wives and kids and husbands at home expecting us to show back up at the house. And now (Bradshaw) won’t because somebody was in a hurry.”
A poignant note on which to end this story, marred only by Thorin’s patronizing remark at the end. Mysta doesn’t need the approval of any patriarchal figure.
Not a poet I’ll leave that for the others. But some thoughts.1) Ro-Zan really missed his opportunity. As the #2 guy in New Moon Valley, the time for a coup was when the Ambassador first went to Tracy’s house. After all, there would have been no leader at that point, taking over might have been a bit easier.2) I really feel Honeymoon and Mysta were poorly used in this story; They were hooks, but really not involved.
Now that we’ve had a story to satisfy the “moonies” among us, can we please get a story with actual police procedure, sleuthing, Tracy doing his thing to solve a crime – preferably with a new villain?!
And what exactly are you going to teach her Frankenmindy? How to be a petty thief, how to desperately long to be someone else, how to pretend to be someone you are not? Spare me
poor Mysta… her life is STILL incomplete, an innocent victim of a ruthless experiment with no real home she can truly call her own… an outsider in both worlds, but she has to make the best and the most of what she can being with Honey and the Tracys… she’s a victim allaround but she will make do and survive… Mysta is that classic ‘little girl lost’… she’s searching for a REAL identity to really give her life and existence meaning… I think she went to the Valley to find more to her life and the one good thing she found was acceptance with a new family in Thorin and Liska, but there’s still that emptiness within her because she found nothing else to make her have that feeling of being complete and truly happy… I really DO feel for Mysta…
There are times Mysta is portrayed as seemingly “brainless.” This obviously isn’t one of those times. She analyzed her “programing,” and, her feelings, came up with the seeming right idea.
2-…The knockout shots we gave you should have taken effect so I’m wasting my breath right now… MYSTA: I’m still awake…
3-…I take those shots all the time so I guess I needed a stronger dose than little Honey Moons and old man Tracy…
4-… Sniff Did you fart? Man! My eyes are watering. SO RANK!!! Anyway – does it really matter that I can see exactly where NMV is and how to get to it? I’m one of you after all.
5-THOR-IN: It does but it won’t. MYSTA: Huh?
THOR-IN: Hang on! I’m feeling a wobble in the..uh…Wobble-izers. We’ll make a quick stop on that little ice burg down there and I’ll have you hop out and check as I activate them.
MYSTA: That ice burg with all the polar bears? THOR-IN: Oh. So it is. No worries – they don’t have Bribery Rings… say. While you’re out there, I better take a minute to make sure Tracy didn’t lose his. Ha Ha! BWAAA HAAAA HAAAAAA!
MYSTA: Want me to kick the tires while I’m out there? THOR-IN: No – just the BUCKET! Thanks for the cheap set-up! BWAAA HAAAA HAAAAAA!
Aww. A sentimental ending to the New Moon Valley saga. And an admission by Mysta Chimera that she feels “Other” or an Outsider in “the Outside World” but that she must stay there for the sake of Honeymoon
For Honeymoon’s sake? Mysta is not her mother. If anything, more like a big sister. But I am surprised that Mysta feels bonded so deeply….
The play I just designed, Hay Fever, oficially opened this afternoon to the press. I have justreturned home from the after-party. The show was hilarious and at the party I got a tremendous number of compliments from people there. I believe the reviews will all be good. Now I have a little break while a guest designer comes in for a show (about Bob Kane and the creation of Batman) and then I have to do two designs in a row—the first by British playwright Harold Pinter and the second a new musical called Aztec Human Sacrifice.
I was born in England and spent my early child hood there and then my family moved to the US. I speak here and at once it’s “You’re english” meaning not one of us. Over there my mannerisms are too American. I’m more friendly and willing to talk to people. I was at a school prize day in the Uk looking at younger relatives and aware that ethnically i fit into the crowd but it i opened my mouth I would be the outsider there too. It can be rough.

When all the rest is said and done, family comes first
Ro-Zan wished to rule the world, unquenchable his thirst.
Some offer up false platitudes with punches, cuts, and shoves
Tracy would not stand for threats against the ones he loves.
Puppets! Ro-Zan vents and screams. Now under lock and key
Thought he’d be an emperor. Hot lava where he’ll be.
The hot springs of Moon Valley where Hy Jacky met his fate
Could boil flesh right off the bone. Death made the pain abate.
Chimera, she has no true home, not in that world nor this
When she is with those that she loves anyplace is bliss.
Home is where the heart is, she tells Thorin as they fly
Surrounded by one’s closest friends, for whom you’d fight and die.
Thorin familiar with such talk. Reminds him of Moon Maid
So courageous, bold, and bright. Thoughts of her don’t fade.

If they start running a tourist shuttle to New Moon Valley, they’ll need to install heater in the Space Coupes. Tracy is still frostin’ it.

Good morning™, heartfelt realizations !
Best of all, Mysta has her priorities aligned. A “warm” day at Tracy despite the frosty environs of the Space coupe.

What a beautiful and touching finish to an already great story arc. Mysta has finally found her place in the lives of the Tracy and Lunarian families.
