Noticed acorns are falling in much greater numbers in recent days. Makes walking yard hard on feet. Old adage says that indicates Nature is ramping up lots of squirrel food to carry them through a very cold winter. But national weather service says the mid-Atlantic region could have a milder season Nov-Feb. Wonder which will be found more accurate – the system that governs our weather or the system that predicts it.
I love/hate Fall ;-) We have a HUGE Liquid-Amber tree in the front yard. It was a just a sapling when I planted when 19 years old, a mere 57 years ago. I had to buy FIVE more trash cans to hold the leaves on the days of garbage pickup. Sigh…the colors of the leaves – SPECTACULAR! People out for a walk will stop and take photos – they ALL have their phones with them.

Silver Leaf Oaks stay green year around in Arizona. And put out thousands of acorns. Squirrel Haven.

Just remember, wait until that guy finishes raking up all the other leaves before dropping yours.

I was just commenting to my girlfriend yesterday that this year’s foliage is just wonderful. Best it has been in several years.

Lose the leaves! An early snow will break way too many of your branches.
