We have a cadult (our child who is now an adult) who suffered from clinically diagnosed depression from about the age of 12. The one advice I would give to anyone is, before taking any antidepressants, take the screening test first. It will tell which antidepressants the body will metabolize. Then go forward. What’s the gain? Time on the right meds. I takes the body 4-6 weeks for antidepressants to start working. And a lot can happen in 4-6 weeks if on the wrong antidepressants.

Rat might be on to something. All those people who are feeling great all the time need somewhere to turn to in order find the solace of reality.

    Want something to depress ya?

The charge nurse at the Emergency Room of the ONLY Hospital in our area had to call 911 for help from the Fire Department.

    https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/news/2022/10/12/overwhelmed-st-michael-medical-center-nurse-called-911-help/10472123002/

    I imagine she’ll be fired.

(But don’t worry. It’s a Catholic hospital. Two or three hundred years from now, she’ll be declared a saint.)

I’m amazed at the incompetant management’s various creative excuses for this happening . . . it reminds me of Thomas Nast’s Tweed ring cartoon:

I used to wonder why my grandfather left Northern Ireland . . .
