Just a reminder, a year or two ago a kid was outright expelled from Milford for bringing a butter knife to school for his morning bagel by accident and with zero ill intent. But bashing a girl’s face with knuckles covered in sharp and heavy rings? No biggie, just go see the counselor a few times. Never mind civil litigation from Dorothy’s family, either; I’m sure the local judges all “owe Gil one” as well.

After word got out about Keri’s Pow! with those rings on, Vito’s inquiring if Keri is interested in a newly-created Milford position in, er, “Customer relations”
P1- Gil plays his blue chip calling in his favor for what? Showing up for work?
P2- In today’s episode of Milford Masterpiece Theater, formerly a Quinn Martin Production, Dr. Pearl is played by Irene Ryan instead of Lou Holtz. Today’s episode “Pow! It was right in the kisser.” That flower she is wearing was taken from a carnie and sprays water. No pun needed Ellis.
P3- GilPa looks as satisfied as a chipmunk with a mouthful of acorns.
Emily, and HeeHaw too for that matter, are probably gonna be more pi$$ed that Princess “Cyborg” Thorp didn’t go all UFC and put that mouthy little hussy in the hospital
That’s a nice message to send: as long as the principal owes your daddy a favor, you can pretty commit aggravated battery and get away with a slap on the wrist.
As for the victim, she’s just going to have learn to live with it.
(Here’s hoping her parents sue the school district into bankruptcy.)
Way to go, Gil. Instead of having her take responsibility for her actions, your sense of entitlement and your “you owe me” veiled threat will keep everything quiet and under wraps and end with a slight slap on the wrist. Take a page from Ethan Couch’s ‘Affluenza’ defense? Or perhaps the 17 year old son of James Khuri who drove his Lamborghini Urus at 100 mph through the streets of West LA, in the middle of rush hour, and broadsided and killed a 32 year old nurse on her way home. (Now who gives a 17 year old a Lamborghini Urus, you ask? Check out Khuri and see. BTW, you and I would be in jail for years if we did that. The kid got 7 months detention in a juvenile center. The Urus ‘black box’ showed the car was doing 106 mph and his foot was pressed all the way down on the gas.) But hey…. I guess they ‘owed him’ too.
Coaches Held Hostage: Coach Kaz, Day 37. 37 is the uniform number worn by the Nationals’ pitcher Stephen Strasburg.
His first MLB start was still the most exciting game I’ve ever attended and I’ve been to multiple playoff, World Series, and All-Star Games. The hype for the No. 1 player in the prior year’s draft was so far over the top that people were referring to it as Strasmas. And Stras lived up to it, striking out 14 Pirates in his 7 innings pitched. The crowd was standing and screaming every time he got to 2 strikes on a batter.
He became quite a good pitcher after that and in the magical year of 2019, Stras won a game in the Wild Card, NLDS, and NLCS rounds and won 2 games and the MVP award in the World Series. The Nats then signed him to a 7-year deal at $35 million per year.
Unfortunately, injuries have turned that deal into a horrible one for the team. After pitching 36.1 innings in the 2019 postseason, Stras has pitched only 30.4 innings since then while earning $105 million, with another $140 million still to come.
Mandatory counseling until Winter Break not Christmas Break. Next week is Thanksgiving, Football Season should be over unless Milford is playing for the States Championship. Basketball Season should be 1/5 to 1/4 into the season. Kari committed an Assault and Battery under the law and could be prosecuted by the police if the parents call the Police, but they probably owe Gil one.
So Kari gets off with maybe 5 counseling sessions until Winter Break
Don’t beat yourself up over this Keri, just remember legally they have two years to bring criminal charges against you for aggrevated assault with intent.
Yeah, now that’s the Gil we’ve come to love in Mopped Up Thorp! Using his influence and power to get his way. And speaking of way, yesterday’s MUT issue is way overdue. It is now online along with today’s.

Good work, Gil, way to sow discontent between the kids and your soon-to-be ex-wife Mimi. Getting them on your side early that’s some fine strategizing

P2 “Suck it up, missy, you’re getting off pretty light. When I went to parochial school back in the day, counseling was called an azz-kicking.”
