Seagull made a quick and wise switch.

Even on the opening shift at the grocery store, someone has to pick up the trash of the parking lot in the rain. That someone is the utility clerk (I’m on a few opening shifts thereat this week as such clerk).

If you’re with a crew of people, there’s usually a party afterwards.

I can see Spud’s point. So can Seagull!

You have to admire Wallace’s ability to find fun in absolutely anything that he does, though!

    :-))

Wallace doesn’t do “cozy.” Unless it’s with Bigfoot. Have you seen Bigfoot’s cozies? They’re big!

Team Wallace on this one! I asked my sweetie if he wanted to go with me and the dog to the park the other day, in a drizzly rain. His expression was much the same as Spud’s. (The dog, of course, is always up for adventure!)

Sneaky seagull, from out in the rain to under Spud’s blanket.

Spud is into Hygge. I’m assuming thick socks under the wrap but no knit hat Spud?

Yeah, but somebody’s still gotta do it, Spud, because if you don’t…well, you won’t have much of a beach in the end.

Interesting concept – visiting your friends through their windows. And, I’m guessing things are so safe there that they never lock them?

Polar opposites these two. Best friends challenge each other and respect the boundaries. I get more out of the comics when I read the comments. Ty all

Maybe Spud has a cold. The coloring on his nose in panel 2 would seem to indicate so.

Spud would rather stay at home and be a beanbag potato.

Reminds me of neighborhood salamander crossing brigades. It’s always on a chilly rainy night, because that’s when the sallies sally forth for the first trip back to home pond in spring, when they can move in the dark and stay soaked. Volunteers help them across the road where evening traffic is heavy, to minimize the number that get flattened before they can mate.
