Looking at these comic strip in comparison with the more recent ones makes me wonder one thing: Did Evans have a different inker back then? These lines are thick compared to the stuff from last week.
You know, I find it absolutely amazing that so many people fail to read comments before posting and then jump to erroneous conclusions. It apparently never occurs to people that explanations may well have been given on the first day of a story arc. Or maybe it’s just too much trouble to go see if your question was answered before you posted it.
I hope you are all aware that you do little more besides embarrassing yourselves when you do that.
My favorite part of the Toni/Brad romance was when Toni fell off the ladder and Brad ran over to break her fall. I think that was the turning point in the way Toni saw Brad. She had a lot of guilt while he was in the hospital recovering. That was when she realized she loved him. Brad always loved Toni, from the minute he first saw her.
From Greg Evans: Due to an unexpected tech glitch in the distribution system, the planned storyline for this week couldn’t make it to our print or digital clients by deadline. So! We are revisiting this magical week from 2016 and will pick up with Tiffany at her mansion next week.
First, I had forgotten how beautiful Toni’s dress was and how awful Luann’s and Shannon’s were. Second, oh, yes, let’s add a baby! Brad becomes a protective mess! Arguments over who is going to be the stay-at-home parent! Morning sickness! A mad dash to the hospital! Hilarity ensues. NOT.
It’s been too long since I was married (3/22/75) o remember the flower girl, but my sister-in-law was married in the mid-eighties, and I remember my 3-year-old son as the ring-bearer in her wedding. He did not quite get the concept and sweet hilarity ensued. Good memory actually.
Dan Thomson mentioned yesterday, on Rip Haywire, that they are running reruns to get back in synch after the mess that was created when they were offline.
GoComics is still having “technical issues” Quite a few strips are rerunning 2015 or 2016 strips, several start out in B&W and a few hours later appear colorized. Clicking on comments is either very iffi or slow. Whatever problem they had that took them down for a couple of days(I suspect a ransomeware attack) They are still trying to work out the problems. I am happy to note that most of the political strips I see are current. I have no idea why they don’t just tell all of us what the problem is
What’s sad is that I think this is the last time Toni appeared in any kind of important context, lol. I think there were some Shannon strips where she’s at least AROUND, and maybe an argument with her brother was shown, but I can’t remember the last time she did anything of plot importance.
@Kymberleigh: Not only did the color disappear, but your post did as well. But before it disappeared, I still had it on the screen, so I can re – post it just below.
.
"And for some reason, the strip, which was posted in color last night, is in black-and-white now.
Also, the banner about changes to the site seems to have appeared at the same time.
Maybe one of the changes, as yet unannounced (and why do we need to know about vaguely described changes to take place in “Fall 2023” in December 2022?) is to only allow premium subscribers to see the strips in color."
.
The changing from black and white to color and back has been going on yesterday and today – many spoke about it all day yesterday. I am a premium member, and I am still seeing the strip in black and white.

Sure, niece of the bride… it’s all about the flower girl and not the bride and groom themselves.

Why did Luann have to wear what looks like a nightgown? Has Greg never seen a wedding?

I thought Brad and Toni were married already. Guess not!

Not sure why we are getting these “re-runs”. Is Greg ok? Or is this a prelude to maybe Brad and Toni FINALLY becoming parents?

I think I’ll skip Luann this week. The wedding arc was uneventful. Heck their married life has been uneventful. Yawn.

Toni is a lovely bride. While Shannon is trying to steal the show.

Oh goody, Luann’s hideous bridesmaid dress that looked like granny’s nightgown.

LOL! Just thinking of the 2 year old throwing a clump of rose petals at her parents wedding.

For those who don’t know yet, G&K experienced a “technical glitch” and were unable to upload this week’s installment of Luann.
Therefore, they are rerunning Brad and Toni’s wedding from 2016.
All is well, however. And next week We’ll return to Tiffany and Friends and Enemies. ;-)

Luann’s dress is hilarious. That bow and where it’s placed, on a grown woman.

Wow I forgot how horrible Luanns dress was! That is the absolute epitamy of an ugly bridesmaid dress.

Who designed that god awful dress of Luann’s? Looks like the leftover rickrack and bows from the birds and mice making Cinderella’s dress

Okay.
Let’s “put to bed” the notion that it was Gunther that “designed” Luann’s brides maid dress, once and for all.
Check out the Strips starting on September 19, 2016. Especially the Strip dated September 22nd, 2016.
Luann designed her brides-maids dress.
Gunth just did the sewing because Lu asked him to.
This was “Pre-Bets,” and Gunny would NEVER refuse Luann.By the way, Gunny got an “A” in his engineering class for that “dress.”
Hope that clears things up.
I left a big box of donuts on the counter so help yourselves. ;-)

I find it weird how cartoonists do eyes. Some just a black dot. Others you can see the whites and others are like Toni’s.
