I have sometime worn a hoodie in the house in order to keep my head warm in the temperature Spouse prefers at night. (And I take hot water bottles to bed).
My wife may have spent time with old girl friends of mine (actually only one, she only knew two and the latter would not talk to her after she felt that my wife stole me from her) but she never invited them over to the house while I was there. Of course, they were not her sister either.
Earl needs to get with the times.. get one of those virtual reality goggle things and immerse yourself alone on some tropical island. (Earl needs the happily married version and not the one for 18 year old boys)
Well, lots of we senior seniors have turned down our thermostats. In my case, I broke out all of my deer hunting garb. The 2% investment growth of the 2000s and Housing Market crash did not help what we are now all facing. Of course, the double-digit inflation of the ’70s trained some of us in advance.

What’s the matter Earl. You can’t get along with Opal’s sister. Say it isn’t so.

The New York Times may say you’re stylish, Earl. (That’s what they recently “proclaimed” about hoodie-wearing John Fetterman.)

You know Earl, if you involved yourself with friends, volunteered, etc. You could have an excuse for not being there for dinner.
