This is the first in what will be a series of comic strips over the next few years where Elizabeth will hit Michael every time he says something insulting to her. Female-on-male violence is often played for laughs.
My youngest daughter, when she was a 90-something pound sophomore in high school, helped me pack our moving van for our trek out west. It was just her and me loading everything whilst the missus was getting the last minute things ready to go. Sleeper sofa included. She was on the other end of every heavy load and muscling all the boxes right along with me nonstop. Weaker? Don’t say that to her.
This is the first time in a long time that Michael has called his sister, ‘Lizzard-breath’, I thought he had ‘grown out’ of it - am disappointed that I was wrong- I thought he had grown.
If she had hit him just a little bit lower, he would be rolling on the floor. IMVPO Girls, starting as young as 8 should learn how to defend themselves. Because No is not an effective defense against rape
Unfortunately, there was a similar situation in my younger years when I was in the Boy Scouts. One Scout made fun of another Scout for attending a Catholic school, which turned into bombast about he goes to “public school, which is as American as apple pie” and being in Catholic school is disloyalty, which then escalated into disgusting remarks about Catholics. It then became a fist fight over words, which stopped with a broken nose.
MAD Magazine had a piece about “What to do about cop-a-feelers”, first showing a crowd of people gathering around an altercation between a woman in a dress and a man in camoflague trousers and a Rebel flag T-shirt. The man is arguing with a policeman, saying he wants to press charges against the woman for slugging him. The woman in turn accuses the man of touching her inappropriately, to which the man protests he did not such thing and kept his hands to himself. The woman then gets angry, saying someone touched her inappropriately. As the crowd is watching this argument, a man who looks like a well-dressed professional is walking elsewhere, minding his own business and has a cartoon halo over his head.

Having a sister in the house is like owning a cat. Sleep all day, come out of their room to eat and hiss at you if you try to be nice to it.

You notice that Michael didn’t go running to tell Mom and Dad, because he knows what he said was wrong.

Possibly the most “big brother” thing Michael has ever done, haha.

Saying things, even teasing things, are an action. And with every action there is a reaction.

Words may sting, but a 5 knuckle sandwich goes right to the gut of the matter.

Watch it, Michael, you’re outnumbered. Your mother may not wallop you, but your sisters will.

If this was a brand new comic strip, she would be a lesbian and he would be a transgender!
