Choices, choices! Now Blaze has too much to choose from. I wonder if those cels are legitimate, but I’m thinking that they are. I guess Blaze never did meet Art at his convention booth.
Any idea what that “T—- of the Tomb” poster is referring to?
Sunday, Tracy asked Lee if Blaze would help the MCU in their investigation of Art & Sue. Lee replied she’d be meeting Blaze “tonight” and would ask her then. Monday, we see Blaze and Lee together, suggesting that “tonight” is happening/has happened (and the activity they’re sharing suggests they’re really getting close). Tuesday, Blaze is no longer with Lee, and is back buying more cels from Sue, suggesting that Lee has asked Blaze to help the MCU by now, so Blaze would definitely know now that Sue isn’t on the up-and-up, yet she’s gone back to Sue, which suggests Blaze has agreed to help in the investigation.
Meanwhile, Art thinks he sees an easy mark, or possible romance. If the latter is true, then too bad for Art that Blaze is straight now, but not in the way he’d like.
Why doesn’t Art just say “Sue”? Or “Ms Reel”? How many people get addressed with their full name so casually? The audience (assuming they spot the allusion) should have it straight by now.
I’m liking the slow build and some character development. I hope it continues and we don’t get some rushed ending. (Friday’s strip, Dekko steps out of the shop and is suddenly crushed by a falling piano, or anvil.)
1-SUE: Do I look tired to you. I’m so tired. Look at my eyes. They’re drooping I’m so tired.
BLAZE: Sorry. I can’t take my eyes off your hideous mustache. Wait. I’ll try…
2-…Well, more stoned than tired actually.
3-ART: Hello there little boy! Now don’t waste the nice lady’s time unless you can prove you saved up enough money from your paper route to buy a cell.
BLAZE: I’M A WOMAN! ART: Huh? Oh. I thought you just bench pressed a lot. Well then, how about we go next door for a cup…
BLAZE: I’m gay. ART: GOSH DERN IT! THIS WORLD IS GETTING TOO HARD TO NEGOTIATE! If you want me, Sue, I’ll be in the back watching 70’s perno – back when men and women knew how things were supposed to work!!!
The sleazy slimeball introduces himself, hoping to make an impression on Blaze Rize. Little does he know. More likely is that she’ll make a big physical impression on his sensitive zone!
Meanwhile, we are probably safe in assuming that Blaze is trying to gather some intel for the cops, at the behest of her new-found friend, Lee Ebony. It’s not clear what she might find out that would be helpful, but we shall see….

Art looks particularly “chimpy” in Panel 2.

Sue and Blaze are like; “Dude, can’t you see we’re negotiating?”

Best not to get too chummy with a potential mark, Art. ✨

Today is yet another day of fluff space filler which does nadda to move the story forward.
Art being a blind hound dog doesn’t count as a revelation.
Someone convince me I’m wrong.

A lot can be inferred from today’s strip.

Good morning™, opportunistic slavering vendors !
You can almost see the drool from Art’s mouth. The trap is being set.

Art Dekko is rubbing his hands together at the thought of an easy mark!

Why does Art look like a chimpanzee in the 2nd panel? Oh wait, that explains the “furry convention” connection

I’m guessing Sue Reel’s last name is Dolly—since everyone calls her Sue Reel, even her boss. It must be like Lou Ann or something…

Now Art does what? Make an appearance to get credit for the sale? The shop may have his name but Sue is the C.E.O.

I guess Lee and Blaze had the “talk”. Blaze must have agreed to gaining Art’s confidence.

I just finished the original Art Dekko/Sue Reel story by Locher etc. Boy did that one move unlike this snoozer.
