Question: Do they ALWAYS stand or sit there right by the doorway in the middle of the night in pitch blackness?

In the morning, check for dinosaurs: it might have been an asteroid.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. In the northern hemisphere today is the shortest day (light) of the year! Every day from now on for the next 364 days every day the Sun will be out more longer and longer for us than today!

It all happened in the blink of an eye.

The question then becomes, who’s eye did blink?

    I hate winter.

Get up in the dark. Drive to work in the dark. Sit in a windowless environment all day. Drive home in the dark. Go to bed in the dark.

    Rinse and repeat.

I remember being an Anchorage, AK near the solstice. I watched the sun come up, scrape across the southern horizon and set in about the time it took me to eat lunch.

Take heart. I did the math. Summer is actually 4 days longer in the northern hemisphere than Winter is. The earth is closer to the sun now, so it’s moving faster – the Gospel according to Kepler.

Could also be the Chicxulub asteroid impact. Maybe BC is set in the Yucatan?

True story: I once worked for a company named Solstice (pharmaceuticals). I petitioned to have both solstices declared company holidays, but they didn’t go for it.

I was just finished in the bathroom in the middle of the night when the light came on then went off. My brain was thinking how did the light come on when the thunder hit. I levitated out of the bathroom.

Somewhere, afar off, there are a lot fewer dinosaurs around. The shock wave will hit our BC guys real soon.
