The shifting of perspective from camera one to camera two is seamlessly realized in panel four. The three dimensionality of that final panel gives a palpable notion of heft, of movement that is unusual in a comic strip. That final image gives a sense of foreground, midground, background that one sees in those old ViewMaster reels. And the states of mind of the three characters in that last image are simply but beautifully solid.
Speaking of the pew-pew onomatopoeic sound for a toy gun, ever noticed that Wallace and his friends never play shooting guns? Not saying that kids should never play with toy guns or bow and arrow, though.

Pew? Usually referred to guns going off not darting outside.

Wallace wasn’t seen again. Where he went no one can say. Some say Dallas.

Brave Sir Wallace, Part the Third
Brave Sir Wallace ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it’s ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Wallace turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Swiftly taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Sir Wallace!
