It’s been a long time since I last saw these “Show me…” strips. I missed them.

At least they are not eating schnell Schnecken. That would be very French of them to go after escargots.

My Mom took me to a German restaurant in D.C. once. Hot vinegar potato salad. She liked it, but I thought it was terrible. Never been to another German eatery.

I never like saurkraut very much. At least not until I got the real deal at the Hofbrau Haus in Munich. American saurkraut has way too much vinegar in it. The German variety is much less acidic and is very tasty.

The wurst is not the worst of it. The after effects take the title.

The arctic turn migrates from pole to pole, but often makes a detour to Usinger’s in Milwaukee to rest and make a turn for the wurst.

When my husband was stationed in Germany, we discovered bratwurst, but have never found any as good here as what we had there. As for other German food, it was very tasty, and fattening. I gained a lot of weight while we were there.
