If you’ve ever fallen from something, or survived a crash, your mind speeds up so much it slows everything down. That’s why automobile crash survivors can tell you that “the car turned over three times”; it’s because they had time to count. I once fell from a house and thought I would never hit the ground.

Yes I have, I like nobody else here have made bad decisions in my life…AND immediately after I regretted them. But that’s just me

Oh, I really must have been lucky with all my choices – since I’ve never made my experience with that thinking stuff…

You can think when you survive the fall.

The wheel of time speeds up when there is no friction to slow it up. Or does it slow down when there is nothing to spin against?

A passing truck nudged my bicycle handlebars, which pulled me into the truck and moved my front wheel onto the loose gravel shoulder. As I slid along the side of truck, I awaited the moment that I would fall behind him. Time stopped when I reached the back, and saw a huge trailer hitch. I seemed to have an eternity to decide whether to sacrifice an arm or a leg to push my body away from the trailer wheels.

How does that old adage go?

“How do you learn how to make good decisions?”

“You learn from experience.”

“How do I get experience?”

“From making bad decisions.”

OH yeah.

Having ridden dirt bikes and ATVs with reckless abandon in my youth, I understand this completely.

I used to have terrible nightmares about falling when I was younger.

The ability to make good decisions comes from having lots of experiences.

Lots of experiences come from making bad decisions.

Just remember, tuck and roll!!

Lucky for you: you’re caught in the third frame and will never fall. You can rethink this move forever. . .

I remember in an accident once, I watched my fender slowly crinkle and bend.

We couldn’t see the rest of the cliff. Maybe it was only four feet deep.

As a matter of fact, yes I have. And then decades following to regret.

I have heard that this is the moment when your whole life flashes before you. At my age, this would take a while.

Any moment of discovery can be an oh shoot moment.

Except a head-on crash doing 80…
