Frederikke Hammershøi is much happier now that she’s back with her adopted family. They might live in a barn and have no concept of ‘proper’ behavior, but at least they aren’t angsty emo painters like her biological son.

I stared at this picture for a solid five minutes before I saw dad. Actually kind of startled me!

The dad doesn’t mind too much about the special relationship between his wife and the horse, his main philosophy is “happy wife, happy home.”

So that’s the etymology of “neighbor”. Good to know.
