Hobbes is definitely not wrong.

I’m sure the class pet would give Calvin a vote for that one.

I don’t think deer can read

“Don’t Play in Traffic!” is pretty evergreen.

Back in 1993, Calvin had it right. These days… not so much.

A bit too long to be catchy.

Preface that slogan with “Oh, deer,”

True. Plants come to mind.

Back in the day, Hobbes. These days, anything will get you shot.

Much too wordy, Hobbes.

Most kids (and some adults) lack the attention span to read that whole message.

That practice of shining headlights into animals’ eyes and then shooting them is called “jacklighting”.

And, as far as I know, it’s illegal.

Animal warning sign: Beware! Humans!!

“There’s more to this world than just people”. — Hobbes has an interesting view.

Animals can’t read, Hobbes, I mean, Calvin.

All purpose slogan: “Don’t Be Stupid”.

How about FALL = OUCHIE! DON’T FALL"

Don’t be road kill…..

My favorite sign was in a construction zone on I-89 near Burlington Vermont. “Slow down my mommy works here”

Hobbes’s suggestion is not used by Calvin but Hobbes will soon be drawing a poster based on Calvin’s idea.

If there are puddles on the road, carry a half brick.

I live in the boonies, lotsa deer. They do freeze up with headlights. Must overload their brains somehow. Some of them take the Kamikaze approach to life.

For sure, Hobbes. The people are around just to make the tigers look good.

I believe some states now allow you to run people down if you oppose their politics. And some people believe you can just shoot people who turn into your driveway.

What about: “You better abide by the traffic safety law, otherwise my tiger will use your kidney as a pillow!”

Hobbes has wise words for wild animals trying to cross a road.

Hobbes looks so proud of himself!

“Don’t look at the lights!” is really all the animals need. If they learn that they will avoid the rest.

How about “Have the habit of stopping at stop signs.” ?

“Slow down, cops ahead!”

This used to be hyperbole.

It’s just that no records are kept.

Hobbes is so proud of himself that I want to give him a high 5.
