She’s taking the steps out of order. First you need an agent, then a publisher.

Probably would have been if she’d sent it to more publishers.

It’s amazing how fast everything happens these days. It was only one week ago, that she first announced that she was going to write a children’s book:

Well, a story written by a cat probably isn’t very amusing, if readable at all.

Nah, it’s simple, Opal: since it’s a “children’s” book, add sex, violence and racist remarks. Then, it will be (properly) banned, and the WHOLE WORLD will buy it! Sad but true.

I thought a book needs to submitted vis an agent in order for the publisher to even consider it.

It happened to a lot of famous writers before they made it big! never give up Opal!

“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” was turned down by 12 so she is half way there.

Keep trying, Opal. Somewhere, someone will want to publish it.

The widespread popularity of the Internet did to writing what “the pill” did to the sex industry. It’s hard to sell a story with so many giving it away. :)

Get a different sister and someone that will help you publish.
