Puppy loves snow!

You’d think that they could figure out a way to roll a stone or something in front of the cave entrance to block the snow and cold air.

Now that took some effort. To put a fireplace in a cave.

And for a moment it was snowing inside too.

But, you gotta enjoy the look on a dog’s face while it’s shaking stuff off. Sometimes seems to be just doing it for the heck of it.

Western North America is getting more than its share of rain and snow the past few weeks. El Niño is bringing us gifts of water.

It looks like we are getting a break at last. On YouTube yesterday I saw a Southern California news video segment showing a car floating in a river, then the view panned to show that river was a freeway. I’ve only been in snow country for 21 years, but this is the largest and lengthiest snow system I have seen so far.

put the fire in front of the door, that way, when the wind blows, you’ll have hot forced air. why not? :)

We gave our dog a shower the other day, or rather I should say that my wife did. My job is to wrestle the dog after he gets out of the shower.

I had my bathing suit on. It took three towels in the bathroom and three more outside. We had to wipe water off everything in the bathroom.

We have a golden retriever. I spent the last 3 days vacuuming fur. I now have enough to make two more dogs.

Furry flurry.

See, yesterday she couldn’t figure out the fire thing.

And inside as well, from time to time.

Wait a minute. The cave men can build an arch shaped fireplace, but not a door? At least a flap over the door would keep in the heat.

This guy has to be an ancestor of Kenny over in C Kennel, right Mastroianni?

Could be worse. Be glad you don’t have a woolly mammoth!

Miss those days. Beloved pooch passed away just over a year ago. He LOVED romping around in freshly fallen snow.
