If I want the Upside Down, I’ll ask Mike from Stranger Things or Nigel Tufnel’s guitar from This is Spinal Tap. They both go to Eleven.

I spotted the difference right away, but I did miss the sweater thing.

Personally, I think it was the second difference that caused the first difference.

Despite all the difference the badly drawn Doug portrait on wall is equally badly drawn in both.

In the first one they’re sharing a gazpacho smoothie, in the second, it’s gazpacho lite.

I took a snip of part of the screen and rotated it 360° to make it easier to read. I can’t figure out what went wrong.

I can read upside down. The explanation is a bit verbose. It could have been two sentences or less.

Upside down text:

1. In the first picture, the couple is genuinely happy, glowing in their shared love and faith in a limitless future together. In the second picture, the couple is cynically simulating happiness and love, in a sick charade of denial and deception, in order to conform to societal expectations and to hedge against the possibiliy of loneliness, each meanwhile waiting for some egregious sin or betrayal from the other, or simply for a better opportunity to come along, to terminate the empty relationship.

2. The guy in the second picture has a darker sweater on.

Much easier to turn over a newspaper than a monitor. Fortunately I can read upside down.

At least the nice white christian couple does not have to endure queer patrons at the lunch counter. /s

Look at the top picture. Have a shot of Mescal. Look at the bottom picture; differences abound. Don’t look back up at the top picture. Go for a walk.

This is amazing. On Sunday, the first difference was as explained. On Monday, the difference was the first picture had ice cream and the second frozen yogurt. On Tuesday, the flavor of the shake is different in the two panels. How does he do it?

When is Gocomics going to update this page? it is Tuesday now. This is Sunday’s strip.
