Every time I hear that expression I’m taken to Bugs singing as he showers in a waterfall, just before Blaque Jacques Shellaque dams it up. Every time!

PILGRIMS! That’s what Mayflowers bring. That’s the traditional joke I assume Rose was going for.

Many Brits will remember a wartime radio program “ITMA” (It’s That Man Again) that featured a gloomy character, Moana Lott, whose catchphrase was “It’s being so cheerful that keeps me going”. Could possibly be Spud’s mantra.

April showers bring May flowers because April flowers get blown away. It’s so windy here all the tree blossoms are on the yard now more than the trees.

I’m with Spud on this one, although I love Wallace’s take on it!
