What makes you think his name is John? It could be Sam.

Itā€™s his John Deere exhaust that might create a few messes on the lawn.

How Thos is sitting up there with this determined expression. And John Dear is looking so bored while chewing.

The mower could probably work better* if Thor wasnā€™t riding it.

*(At least it would be easier on the mower)

Here, they let sheep eat the grass at places where a mower is to difficult to use.

The best thing about these mowers is they themselves can make and train other mowers, and thatā€™s something factories canā€™t do. Plus, the fuel is greener.

It mows and it fertilises, too. With some luck, next year you will have some more which you can sell.

    1) Cartoonists beware! I believe ā€œJohn Deereā€ (with the final ā€œeā€) is trademarked. (And IMO the cartoon would have been at least as funny as ā€œJohn Deerā€.)

    2) But with those antlers, itā€™s definitely not ā€œJane Doeā€.

I was driving through the Lake District in the UK a while back and saw quite a few front lawns being kept short by sheep grazing on it.

This would be a very slow riding lawn mower. But, it would be less noisy, would pollute less, give fertilizer for the garden, and could be a future source of venison, But, on the pollution front, the methane could be worse than a gas powered mowers exhaust.

I was shocked to see that mine has a magneto type engine ā€¦ straight out of the 1800s. Unlike our deer friend, very difficult to start in the spring. Maybe ether will wake it up, but puut deer to sleep.
