Reminds me of a misc comic years ago- a vending machine labeled “Gullibility Test”, a $1 slot, and nothing else.

And this is how they pull you in. Some years ago, my wife and I were in Reno and came upon a short row of slots with credit/debit card readers built in. I lovingly took her by the hand and dragged her out of the casino. My wife was a stoic woman but the slots were her kryptonite. Mine was the poker tables so she helped me stay away from them by making me work the 21-tables where I actually came out ahead more often than not. Playing the long, safe game at Blackjack can be boring but it does give you a fighting chance.

every year around tax time when I fill out the tax forms – I keep thinking the same thing. (sorry it was only a couple of weeks ago. my how time flies)

Reminds me of an old Coke machine at my high school. It was suppose to dispense 1st a paper cup, then ice, then soda. Sometimes they would appear out of order, or the cup would land upside down, or nothing at all would happen. Some comedian put a sign on the machine…“Win a Coke, 25 cents a try.”
