Not this plugger.

My ringtone is the hotline from “In Like Flint”.

I think just “pluggers have their phone not in vibrate” is enough.

Well obviously it has to sound like phone ringing eh.

My ring tone is Morse Code.

This pluggers ring tone is what ever it came with.

Well Yes … The Landline Phone sounds like one because it is one ;-)

Well you never know who’s calling, be it The Good, The Bad or The Ugly—so that’s my ringtone.

My cell phone ring tone is Sky High; wish i could get Ride of the Valkyrie. Wished I could also put a different ring tone on my land land like “American Woman” (Stay Away From Me).

My ringtone is whatever the default is. I get about one legit call a week, so why bother?

My general ringtone sounds like a landline phone. My wife and friends have their own ringtones. My little brother’s ringtone sounds like a baby crying.

Most of the time, mine doesn’t ring—even when I have a call EXCEPT when it is a ‘robo’ call ! ! ! !

Mine’s “tower bells”. It’s loud and, so far, no one else uses it.

I need to start assigning ring tones to friends and family.

Not always! Mine is “Sloop John B.” this is the worst trip I’ve ever been on. Used to play it on the way to work.

Our landline plays Jingle Bells. For several years now.

Our chief engineer has a ringtone that sounds like the ancient dial telephone with the mechanical bell ringer. I have to admit, there’s no mistaking it when it rings in a group of engineers with busy phones. :)

I have a few different tones for certain clients, not retired yet! One has the standard old phone ring so I know when they call. I had the croaking frog for a particular person so I would know not to answer.

Mine is a clip from The Ventures’ version of Hawaii Five O.

My ex husband’s was screaming-horror movie. He thought people’s upset reactions were hilarious. My kids were so embarrassed

Funny that old fashioned traditional ring is not available on any phone I have owned. A zillion choices… but not the one I want.

Man, I hate that landline ringtone, so many used to have it as their default and way too loud in public places. Glad that has mostly gone away for more pleasant tones, or even better, just vibes.

Which reminds me – I need to DL that ringtone. I loathe, abhor, despise, detest, & abominate every ringtone that came with my new phone!

Anything else would confuse me (easily).

Pluggers should avoid crickets and old car horns.

Well… of course. A phone ‘rings’. It does not play like a music box, beep, boop, or chirp. ;-)

Must be lots of Pluggers out there. I hear this any time I’m out and about.

Mine is a peacock screeching, distinctive and my coonhoud likes to howl along to it…the only time she howls. Odd.

Eric Satie’s Gymnopodie. Except my wife’s MIL tone on my phone was John Williams’ Imperial March. My wife’s MIL has passed on and now I am not cursed with that ringtone.

It is pretty much part of our DNA. Though you can’t let it ring twelve or more times before answering (picking up) In pre answering machine days we were taught to let it ring so someone outside, or engaged in something in the house, has time to get to the wall mounted phone by the fridge.

Lots of gen Z also use that ringtone…

I guess that makes me a plugger because I have the old Ma Bell ringer sound on mine!

I used to have Star Trek ring tones. Not only the theme from various shows, but sound effects. My wife was going to kill me if I didn’t remove the red alert as my wake up alarm.

You have no idea how startling that can be to a nearby plugger.

Ya’know, you laugh, but I would love it if an old landline phone ringtone was available on my cell. All the goofy sounds and tones and not one of them sounds like a serious minded grown up ring.And hey, kid, get the heck off my lawn!

I set up specialized ringtones for various people, and one of them was the sound of someone coughing. When Covid started, I changed that one quickly!

And it’s the 2 fast from a party line.
