Itâs said that there are 100 octillion (10²âš) stars in the universe. The odds against Earth being the only planet with life are absolutely ASTRONOMICAL!
And one day a big rock is going to come along and smash into this one, ending all life (or at least a very high percentage) on it. So getting onto another planet really should be a priority.
Doesnât Sunny want to be a scientist? She will learn that conditions can arise on other celestial bodies for life to exist. Enceladus and Europa in this solar system come to mind. Remember 30 years ago we thought there were not other planets out there. Now we have found about 5000 exoplanets and with more and better instrumentation and JWST getting warmed up we are going to find more.
thatâs a terrible argument itâs the equivalent of not believing in libraries because you have this book you havenât had a chance to finish reading.

No one wants this polluted planet or have anything to do with the polluters. So they found a nice fixer up in Antares.

I agree. Life on this planet is plenty interesting. Life on other worlds would not have the energy to get to ours so why be concerned with them.

Thatâs the most UNSCIENTIFIC reasoning Iâve seen coming from Sunny. What is she basing this prejudice on?
