I’m kind of torn. I like it, but I can kind of see your point. I tried reading several ways (without Jay’s comments) and found it funny each way. Original – both math and grammar wrong, math right, grammar wrong or math wrong, grammar right. I think math wrong, grammar right would trip up more readers. LOL
When our daughter was about 3 I tried to explain the double negative to her. I realized that my mom was right. They don’t get abstract thinking very well till they’re 6 or 7.
When I took my software job with a defense contractor in Denver, 1984, I was accused of not being an engineer because I wrote clearly and had an extensive vocabulary.
My brother ran into an old high school classmate who was homeschooling her son. He asked her how it was going. She said “He does OK in math and science, but he don’t do no good in English.”
I worked for a Swiss multinational company who kicked off a major “quality” program by putting up expensive posters with “professionalism” mis-hyphenated. (I wish I were kidding.)

Had to read it three times to realize it wasn’t 10,000 out of 8 and yeah, 10 out of 8 math still doesn’t work, Jay.
