After nipping out for a quick dye-job, the blood-spatter chick is on the job. Wait! I saw documentary about this. She’s a serial killer!! Get her Tracy!
Why is Phil Nichevo still wearing his batting glove inside the locker room? For that matter, why is his right hand shaped like his left hand? And why is Tracy just getting around now to asking who found the body?
Phil NIchevo, Phil Demain, our phil-in writer seems phlagrantly phond of phlooding this story with Phils— and he hasn’t named the manager yet, so watch out for a triple play!
The clues continue! Finding out at this stage that all four found him at the same time is fun, often a short mystery story will essentially begin with the revelation that all of the suspects walked into an office or whatnot at the same time and found the victim already deceased. So finding out later rather than at the beginning is a fun change!
1-BROWN EYED GIRL: Hey. You got blood on your jacket sleeve. DT: That’s ketchup. I forgot to sit a minimum of 10 feet away from Sam during lunch.
2-…Say. Where were you when the murder occurred, Mr. Manager?
3-SKIP: Call me Skip. The four prime suspects were playing dice and using me as the “curb” to bounce them off of. They got pretty mad when the dice kept getting stuck in my fat rolls.
So far, the various clues, including today’s detection of blood splatter by the FORENSICS tech chick, all point to a left-handed perp. Nothing new about that. The discovery of the body of Vernon Simpson by all four players we’ve met, at the same time, is new, but questionable as a clue. What might be a clue is (in panel 3) the spots of some sort we now see on Demain’s left profile and head (that were not there when we first met him): blood splatter, or just water drops? I think Nichevko’s red batting glove still being on his right hand is at most a red herring. Curiouser and curiouser, though is that the manager is still nameless this far into the Minit Mystery. Is this a Meaningful Thing or just a Meaningless Oversight?

Good morning™, everyone!
The spatter with blows coming from left to right is a significant clue, I think. It indicates a left-hander.
