That is one very successful spider.

One time we pulled the tarp off the pit and there was a huge snake keeping warm under it.

So you either make it over and die or get trapped and eaten later.

And the next guy just keeps on coming. Sometimes the comics get it absolutely right.

I wonder if he’ll be able to stick the landing.

Hm, why should the spider bother with the web, given the landing zone?

It appears that the spider just eats the pole and saves the vaulter for later!
