This reminds me of a story Roz told Frazier, during the first episode of the series, to illustrate that life doesn’t always go as planned, but it can still work out. Here it is: In December 1944, 36 year old Hollywood actress Lupe Velez decided that if she wasn’t going to be remembered for her life, she’d be remembered for her death. She filled her house with flowers, had her hair, nails, and makeup done perfectly, put on a gorgeous gown, took an overdose of Seconal, and arranged herself on her bed, thinking how beautiful she’d look in the newspaper photos the next day. But … the pills and booze she consumed didn’t mix well with what she had for dinner. She got up and ran to the bathroom, which is where she was discovered in the morning by her secretary. When Roz finished the story, Frazier asked how this worked out for Lupe, “last seen with her head in the toilet.” Roz answered: “All she wanted was to be remembered. Are you ever going to forget Lupe Velez?”
This comic ends on Friday. // It’s return is a two day delay. // So I’ll lie here supine, //while I weep, moan and whine, // for it’s return next Monday.

/// Walther asked his wife Greta to pose.
She said, “OK, but this time in clothes.
And the stance, for God’s sake,
better not make me ache.
I’ll re-pose on the couch in repose.”

This was Walther’s “Blue Period”.No, he’s not just a poser copying Pablo Picasso. He really did feel Blue. Immensely, overwhelmingly blue.

Can I just say, that outfit is way too normal for the Met Gala. Or any other red carpet event in NYC or Hollyweird, for that matter.

That seems like an uncomfortable way to sleep. She’s laying flat on her back with her trunk swiveled completely to one side.
