Just retain the services of an “influencer” or two, then raise the price. $1/lb.? Vastly too cheap! @ at least $100/lb. you won’t be able to keep them in stock.

If you advertise the price as having been reduced 80% from $5 per pound, they will go like hotcakes.

Kid: “Can we get some leaves. I want to jump into a pile of them!”

Mom: “We have leaves at home. If you rake them, then you can jump into them!”

Earl might dry and compact his grass clippings to sell as cute little iimitation bales of hay for Halloween decorations. Human ingenuity to the fescue!

Maybe advertise them as “Pumpkin Spice Flavored”.

I always mix a bag or two into my compost pile.

I blew the leaves, sticks and acorns off of the patio yesterday, turned around and more had fallen.

Good exercise. Builds rake arm strength, muscle flexibility, lowers blood sugar, which that guy surely needs, and offers a number of ‘reps’ through early January. Having them picked vacuumed and hauled costs about the same as the monthly fee at a fitness center. And if you believe that . . . : )

Change the sign to 100% organic compost material, and you may have some success, in the right neighborhood.

This reminds me of a Facebook Marketplace ad I saw a few months ago, where someone posted a pic of a lot covered with tree limbs and branches. They were offering “uncut firewood and kindling” for a dollar a pound- all you had to do was cut it yourself. Not sure how successful it was.

Many, many years ago, I was part-owner of a ranch/riding stable in Arizona. We had about 26 head of horses we used to dude wrangle the tourists with, plus some boarders. There was, needless to say, a lot of horse manure accumulated!

Much to my amazement when we advertised the manure for sale, we had loads ( pardon the pun ) of takers. We provided the shovels (no cost) to use and the heavy trash bags ( 10¢ per ) and the customer took as much as they wanted (@ $1.50 – $2.00 per bag. depending on size and weight ).

It used to blow my mind how many people were willing to pay to shovel and take our horseshit!

In the days when I was gardening, I’d been happy to take bags of leaves for free, but paying for them. Nope.

Earl was also challenged in grade school by the math question “Which is heavier, a pound of leaves or a pound of lead?”.

Get rich by identifying a need and filling it. This guy has a need to get rid of leaves.

I don’t know, that’s a little pricey. Would you take 50 cents a pound?

It’s the first yard sale I’ve seen where they actually sell part of the yard.

Forget it. I tried FREE LEAVES with no takers, Also could not get kids to rub white glue on themselves, roll in the yard, and trick or treat as a pile of leaves.

Mulch it. Bag it. Money in the bank.

A pound of dried leaves is the whole yard’s worth.

Wonder what he would do for snow? Selling it by the pound for snow forts or snowman, perhaps?

He could advertise it as “compost started”

He’s got a supply. Somewhere out there will be a demand. Or so the economists say.
