I live on the 6th floor of our retirement residence, and our elevators get stuck sometimes. I haven’t been in them when it happens, but I think about Horace every time – and I’m not laughing then!
Sing along now Horace" “You put your one foot in, You put your one foot out, You put your one foot in, And you shake it all about, You do the hokey pokey, And you turn yourself around, That’s what it’s all about…!”

Skewed humor.
In German you could use the word “schräg” which means both tilted and weird.

The elevator company hasn’t been doing its maintenance. Analog floor indicators need to be very carefully aligned.
Actually, I haven’t seen an elevator with that kind of indicator in…well, it’s been a while.

Give up on the elevator, Horace… take the escalator.
An escalator can never break… it can only become stairs!
