Zoe is, what?, 8-10 years old. She’d be looking down to her in the tub and her nudity. I’d think Wanda would lock the door cuz Zoe is too old to see her mom naked and likewise for her with Zoe I guess cartoonists don’t think about those things – only the funny. For me it is funny only if the set up makes sense. Cartoonists are both guys so maybe they don’t think about the details much.

Parents have got to start teaching their kids to do things for themselves. Too many kids are growing up never knowing how to find their own stuff. Then they ask their spouse “Have you seen my --?” I always tell my husband to keep track of his own stuff. I have enough trouble keeping track of mine so why should I have to keep track of his?

Where is Zoe’s pink sweater? Under the soap…

Recently retired, and proud to say I’m not the multitasker I used to be either.

Zoe does have a point to a certain extent. Babies need their parents to do everything for them. As children grow the parents allow their children to do more, and this means parents don’t multitask like they used to. It’s a good thing.

Sigh… Why do they always wait for Wanda to sit in the tub and relax before they start bothering her with their needless neediness?

Selective multitasking is important.

The reason I would want to lock the door is just for a little “me time” away from everybody. And, everyone would know “do not disturb.” Otherwise, no problem with the DAUGHTER in the bathroom with the mother.

Wow, so many bathing comments here. Go read Arlo and Janis, she is in the tub often. And he is in the bathroom with her. I guess the difference is Zoe is a child and Arlo is an adult?

Zoe, as my dearly departed grandmother ( a saint of a woman) would say, “God helps those who help themselves.”

Gee this is an easy day, when I can use the same comment in several comic strips today.

I’d reach out and grab Zoe’s ponytail and pull her smart little @ss into the tub and then get out and have a glass of wine after getting dressed.

This is normal for an overly indulged child. She’s testing to see how far she can get when the right buttons are pushed. It may just be a comic but even comics can trigger some people so please be kind tot he commenters who voice personal issues. Many people who were poorly raised had difficulty raising children regardless of how hard they try to be a good parent, transference happens.
