I remember as a kid, some people would hand out DIMES instead of candy. Once I got a quarter! (Remember, we’re talking early 60s here).

As a kid outside of American, I was obsessed and eternally disappointed over not getting to celebrate Halloween. I’m hoping in a year or two to go to Canada and let my youngest brother have a go, though!

Also, if I could go today, and have any costume of choice, probably the Robert Pattinson Batman costume. That or Sunset Shimmer XD

I just give them coins instead if I run out of candy… which seems to make them even happier! Many, many years ago, my brother found a house where the owner gave out quarters… like I said… many many years ago…when it was more like $2…. and he just concentrated on the one house… running home several times to change his "disguise and then go back again!

…that homeowner’s obviously consulted Marty Wright’s handbook on “How To Handle Halloween Even Though Doing This Only Magnifies To The World At Large How Big A Doofus You Are”………well played, sir!!…..sort of……

What exactly is Nate’s costume? Who is he playing as?

Here’s a bright idea, random guy: if you’re out of candy, then shut off your lights and close your windows to make sure kids can’t get to your door. Just a thought.

Well, that homeowner is sure one stick of butter short of a pound.

All he had to do is to turn off the porch light, lock the door, and turn off the lights at home, and sit quietly for about half an hour… so I’ve been told by some of our neighbors when they ran out of treats… the other kids let each other know not to go there …
