Snowflakes are nature’s way of telling us to chill.

Why did the snowflake go to school?

Because it wanted to learn some ice-ology.

Snoopy must be an ICECOLD dog as the snow lying on his body never melts ;-)

At least he’s referring to actual snowflakes and not using the word in the pejorative sense to describe other people.

Yeah, it’s gettin’ to be that time of year again. Break out the parkas and snow tires, mittens and hot chocolate.

Amazing how they gang up on you, ain’t it?

It snowed here last night.

Meanwhile, down here we’re expecting highs in the 70s for the foreseeable future…

Got our first snow here in my little corner of Idaho last night.

It’s their turf now.

Not a sheet, not a pillow, but a blanket of snow.

It’s hard to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual snowflake when there are so many of them.

Snowflakes never know when to stop.

This reminds me of the snowfall of ‘78 in Wake Forest, NC. It was a Monday and an incredibly warm day. I kicked the soccer ball around the football field. Returned to the dorm, showered and donned some clothes for lunch. While in the cafeteria, the snow started coming down. A few flakes at first, then a little more, and a little more. Then the bottom dropped out of the snow clouds and we had a blizzard on our hands. Needless to say, it wasn’t a warm day anymore.

Better yet, Snoopy should just shovel all his snow onto the cat next door.

It reminds Snoopy of the time he won the Iditarod.

Exactly what happened in the Columbia River Gorge this morning.

Strips like this are why in the last few years, Snoopy got to sleep with Charlie Brown on cold nights.

If only it were possible for him to have a roof over his head so he wasn’t exposed to the elements like this. . . .

We finally got our first real snowfall of the year today. This time last year, we’d had about a foot.

Enough’s enough!

We just had our first winter snow storm today. A mild dusting overall, but compared with the last few winters, a welcome site.

Maybe try sleeping inside

…back when it was OK to have an outdoor dog…
