Now the House has gone from not being able to move legislation because there was no Speaker, to not being able to move legislation because of who they chose to be Speaker.
Vote Democratic up and down the ticket in 2024. Let’s bring stability and sanity back in government. Something that won’t happen with the current state of the Repubs. Vote all the Repubs out, the party hasn’t been salvageable for decades, but now it’s decaying the entire USA.
Johnson will not advocate for ANY cause that goes against Trump in ANY way if you want to see what he WILL allow to be brought to the floor, simply look to Trump’s statements from the recent past…
The ONLY way in which he differs from Donnie John is that Trump is “transactional” while Johnson is an “Ideologue” as well as a “Religionist”, an altogether lethal combination, in my opinion, that will result in complete failure of democracy in America in short order…
If George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were to invite TV camera crews to come and record them re-registering as Democrats because their own Republican Party had been taken over by lunatics, and if those clips were shown on ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS, (a) how many MAGAts would even see it, and (b) how many who did see it would change their minds because of it?
Well, I’ve been reading more about the new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, who used to be a mouthpiece for the Alliance Defeating Freedom (tho they say “Defending” — ha!) and all the other horrifying things he stands for. The guy is now 2nd in line for the presidency. I sincerely hope that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris never get within 5 miles of each other for the remainder of their term in office, so that none of the stochastic terrorists out there can take them both out at the same time.
Future European, Asian, and African historians will note that the Republican Party destroyed Democracy. American historians will have to write their histories glorifying the Republican Party and Hitler. If they write the truth they will be “disappeared”

With Johnson as Speaker, the Freedom Caucus is firmly in charge of the House.
