My husband and I recently flew north to visit my daughter. She has a BIG dog. When we arrived she was baking “cookies”. I thought they were for us, so I ate one right out of the oven. That’s when she told me they were doggie treats! But guess what? They actually were GOOD. And had no sugar, so even better. I kept nibbling at them behind her back. (Don’t tell her that!)
According to Dr. Zac Turner, dog biscuits may contain high levels of protein or fat, which can be difficult for humans to digest and may cause gastrointestinal upset. Additionally, some dog biscuits may contain artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives that are not approved for human consumption and could potentially be harmful.
bwswolf, I was reading all the comments down to here waiting for someone to wonder if Red was eating the dog biscuits too! FINALLY someone said it! :-D :-D
Unless there’s an allergy or some health issue, If you ever want a good laugh, give your dog some peanut butter on a cracker. He will will love it AND you will love seeing him/her love it…
When my grandkids were little my daughter said they didn’t like peanut butter. I found out why—she had “natural” peanut butter. Once they tasted Jif they loved peanut butter. Now I’m the one with “natural” peanut butter—for Newton!!!

Once again, Rover is the big winner. These guys are plain old fun. Wish I could hang with them for a day. Check that, every day!

One of ours loves peanut butter and banana in her Kongs but the grumpy old man likes PB only, sometimes a wee dab of jam.
Then we freeze them and they love them :-)

I remember my parents wrapping a pill in peanut butter for the dog so he would swallow it and it normally worked.

Not jif! It has xylitol, as do most big name brands of PB.it is poisonous to dogs. Organic is safest…dogs love PB.
