Pig doesn’t need to let other people know that he’s his own person and doesn’t need their judgment. Pig needs to let himself know that. Other people aren’t thinking about him.

Pig is his own person; nobody else wants him.

The truth is that most people probably do not think about you as much as you think that they do.

Of course pig is a popular character in a popular comic strip, so I guess more people do think about him.

Sometimes when I leave comments, I wonder about that.

I have a very select few whose opinions I value. The rest can KMA.

Better to be thought of as an open minded, NON-conformist, who asks WHY, and questions the powers that be, than to be a “sheep”.ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY, and NOWHERE does ‘authority’ deserve more questioning, than does law enforcement, with their incessant demands that WE give up more of OUR FREEDOM, so that they can ‘protect’ us from the boogie men that they have invented.

I’m also worried about what others would think of me, but my parents remind me to just ignore them, and just focus on improving your own physical and mental health.

Similar comments above, but I like this quotation, which I’ve never seen attributed to anyone specific.

“When I was twenty, I cared what other people thought of me. When I was forty, I no longer cared what other people thought of me. Then I turned sixty, and I realized that nobody had been thinking of me to begin with.”

They won’t like it, Pig, but they’ll get over it. Took me a long time to realise other people say No to me all the time and I survive. So will they.

Do not care what others think of you unless they are paying you!

Life is too serious to be taken too seriously. Don’t worry about it.

Pig just doesn’t have a clue. He just needs guidance.

A wise man said that it wasn’t any of his business what somebody thought of him.

Yeah. Right. Tell that to ALL the people (both adult and child) who tormented me for years as a kid with their judgments about me.

Pig doesn’t CARE how they’ll take that.

I’ve learned to ignore other people’s judgements. Unless I’m in court..

Repeat after me…I don’t give a s…t what you think.

When you turn 50 you really stop caring what others think. If we could only do that at 15…

My son and I LOVE the strip but we’d really like more cross! I’ll swear, I can actually HEAR ’em talk!

Chances are that what others think of you is wrong. They can’t understand or know what you are going through and visa versa.

I wish there was some “wise” to our a$$es on the (congressional) hill.

It’s tremendously liberating to realize that most people don’t think of you at all.

Three simple words can change your life, Pig.

“I don’t care.”

It’s what you think about yourself that matters. You don’t need constant validation and approval.

I ditched caring about social acceptance within reason once I got out of Junior High. I wouldn’t relive Junior High for a million dollars. Wait, with inflation that would be a billion dollars.

One of the best things about getting older, is as you age you care less and less about what others think of you. It’s very liberating.

Don’t worry about them, Pig!

Just be you. That’s all that matters

I was always self conscious when I was little and thought everyone was always watching me. In the sixth grade, I was part of a group who had to perform ball bounces to music. With little rhythm and poor hand to eye coordination I was not doing very well and felt humiliated until I realized no one was paying me the slightest attention, and no one cared. It was an extremely liberating moment.

I don’t have the energy to even care what others think…

Pig misses the point. Again.

Firstly, unfriend them on all internet apps and block them on your email accounts. If that doesn’t work mail them some finely ground chalk and poppy seeds and call the Feds.

Do your thing….walk to the beat of your own drum!

This is like the “meaning of life” seeker. In the old Sufi tradition, just asking such a dumb question could get you hit with a stick. Life is about living and living your own life. Make only short-term obligations until you are mature enough to accept the responsibility of longer-term obligations. It’s an old trick but it works. I know, I know – you have to do it your way.

I remember when the Wise A$$ on the Hill had pointy ears and a long snout. I wish that would come back, he looked better then.

It’s funny, we actually cannot comment on the character in the comic strip directly.

I don’t need to wonder what people are thinking about me. I hear them talking behind my back.

I will listen to your opinions and advice. But don’t expect me to follow them. I don’t always listen to my own opinions and advice.

You’d better not ever need a job in North Brunswick, NJ!

Even if or when the Wise A$$ could give good advice, Pig is not able to follow it (never was, never wil be)….
