My grandfather had a cap like that. One morning my grandmother placed a new cap on the table. grandfather “where’s my cap” grandmother “there’s your cap” grandfather Where’s my cap? my grandmother pointed to the wood burning stove “there’s your cap” he put on his new cap.
That’s how I feel about my Kalso Earth boots (Central). Sunday I forgot to change into my shoes by the door got to church and I was wearing Halo clogs (I wear for slippers), totally worn out and look it but too comfy to toss.
After looking at Earl, today, I had to stop and think just how long I’ve had my cowboy boots. The newest pair is about 20 years old ( my dress boots ), my other ones ( my comfy casuals ) are well over 30, and my work boots are closer to 40 years old!
I haven’t worn a pair of dress shoes for almost 60 years. My standard footwear since retirement has been flip-flops and sneakers.

“These boots ain’t made for walkin’.” — Dean Martin to Frank Sinatra, “Four for Texas”.
Later inspired a song that Frank’s daughter recorded.

I like Opal’s “selective hearing loss,” as my mom used to say.

They need kneading, lots of it, like a new baseball glove. May I suggest a tree shredder for both?

Anyone ever try putting dry rice in boots to stretch them? I’ve heard of it, but never tried it. And I imagine the rice tastes terrible afterword…lol.
